A talk at the October General Assembly by Susie Pearson and Leona on the man trailing dog search and rescue group, Jalon.

Members who attended the October General Assembly enjoyed a very interesting and informative talk by Susie Pearson, a u3a Vall del Pop member and volunteer with the man trailing dog search and rescue team based in Jalon.

u3a Vall del Pop holds two Coffee Mornings each month, where you can join us for a chat, tea/coffee, and cake if you choose.

At our General Assembly on Thursday 5th September we were delighted to welcome Jeanette Missons and Jayne Nuttall Blake, President and Director of Nursing Services/Lead nurse respectively, of Cancer Care Javea.

Carole Knott hosted the June 2024 trip to Bioparc / IKEA. Members were given the choice to spend the whole day at Bioparc or shop all day at IKEA and the surrounding Alfafar commercial centre.

The dark clouds finally gave way to some blue sky, and eventually sunshine, as the U3A Vall del Pop members and friends gathered in the garden of Los Arcos, Pedreguer, to unpack their picnics and decorate their tables in anticipation of the performance of The Entertainers. With the passing of Sandra Welham, some four months ago, The Entertainers had restructured their show so that the first set would be a tribute to the life of Sandra and the second set one of dancing and singing in thanks for what she had brought to the lives of so many people.

As you are aware, we sadly lost our dear friend and U3A Secretary, Sandra Welham, to cancer on 29th February this year.
